I’M OVERWHELMED!

Has life ever handed you multiple complicated situations at once? All simultaneously entering your life from out of nowhere? It feels like you have no room to breath and have no clue where to start. Every direction you turn there seems to be another problem tacked onto your list. I know this feeling and I believe you do too!

It makes you want to SCREAM!!! The only two words that pop to mind are, “I’m overwhelmed”! The reasons for being overwhelmed are numerous. There are times when life just happens to simply be overwhelming, but there are there times we do it to ourselves. Sometimes we take on more than we can handle and end up doing MORE damage.

There will come a time when you simply just have to STOP! JUST STOP! Stop overthinking everything, chill out and take a DEEP breath. It’s going to be okay. Yes, you have responsibilities and matters to handle, but the most important thing here is to properly manage them and not beat yourself up along the way.

As I said before, there are MANY factors contributing to this level of STRESS which is why I encourage people to simply SLOW DOWN. Think about exactly WHAT is overwhelming you and WHY. From there, check to see if there are ways to limit the stress by breaking things down into little fragments. Prioritize that list by most important and then tackle the little fragments one-by-one.

Go through this process until everything that is NEEDED to be done, gets done! Take another break and restart the process with the other items left on the list. The key here is to “tread lightly” and slowly knock out what needs to be handled in a much more organized straight-forward manner; this will in turn reduce stress/anxiety.

Lastly, you have to remember WHY you STARTED! If you are stressed out because of school, remember what the initial goal was. Whether it was to attain credits, deepen your knowledge or attain a diploma, you must come back to that starting line. Remember WHY you wanted to reach this goal and remind yourself that it is ABSOLUTELY worth it! This can be applied to work, finances, relationships and spirituality. Take your time and really think things through. There may be a few “cuts” that may be necessary to eliminate some of the stress. Do what needs to be done so that your stress levels and the feeling of being overwhelmed are manageable.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SLOW DOWN and NEVER allow the stress/anxiety swallow you up so much your overwhelming feeling freezes you from taking action on anything. I hope this helps! I shot a corresponding video to this post and placed it on my Facebook fanpage, you can CHECK IT OUT HERE
